Minnesota Business Magazine has published an article, 'Inside Minnesota's Booming Bike Economy', in their August 2010 edition reviewing the impact of cycling businesses to Minnesota's economy. Their localized review does a fine job of accounting for the various components of the $315 million/year cycling manufacturing and sales industry, which is on par with Minnesota's forestry, fishing and related activities. The article focuses on the Twin Cities, which is only only 90-miles away and will be a key source of day trippers and weekend vacationers to the Camp Ripley/Veterans Trail.
